Farm Focus: Join us for our Fall Harvest Festival!
Bring your family, bring your friends, and come on out to the farm to help us celebrate the Fall Harvest!
Here's what's in store for the day:
U-Pick Apples - Stroll through the orchard to pick your own
basket of our crisp and tangy Pink Lady apples. Apple pie, applesauce, apple crisp or apple butter anyone?! U- pick apples will be $3.00 per pound.
Pumpkins - Our pumpkins are almost ready! Find your just right jack-o-lantern for carving in our mini pumpkin patch.
Cooking Demos - Chef Mario will walk you through how to make a delicious and healthy grain salad featuring our Warren pears, Sonora wheat berries, and pomegranates. We will provide a recipe and samples for participants but you'll definitely want to make a big batch at home after you taste this salad! Cooking demos will be held at 11:15 am and 1:15 pm and last approximately 30 minutes.
Farm Tours - Take a guided walking tour through our orchard with Farmer Al. Learn about Frog Hollow history, our pest management strategies, our compost program and what makes our farm regenerative. This is a great opportunity to learn about how we grow your fruit and get all of your burning questions answered! Tours depart at 11:45 am and 1:45 pm and last approximately 1 hour.
Craft & Worm Station - Take a look at some of our hard working red wriggler worms from our vermicomost and make your own worm to take home.
Music - Our friends Corbin and Morey will be back playing their toe-tapping tunes in the packing shed.
Farmers Market - We will have a mini farmer's market set up with our conserves, sun-dried fruit, granola, crackers, sweet tartlets, savory empanadas and more. If it's hot, we'll probably have our amazing ice cream sandwiches and popsicles too!
This event is free but please RSVP if you’d like to attend.
