This Week's Box: May 13, 2019

Apache Apricots
Frog Hollow Farm, Brentwood, CA
One of the newest varieties of apricots introduced to growers, the Apache was developed by the USDA Agricultural Research Service. Though early off the tree, the Apache apricot doesn't sacrifice any flavor or texture to beat its more popular cousins off the branch.

Pakistan Mulberries
Frog Hollow Farm, Brentwood, CA
Our Pakistan Mulberries are sweet and soft, with a little kick of acid and a lot of health benefits. They're a good source of fiber, iron and Vitamin C. This variety is very delicate and handled with expert-level skills during picking and packing.

Pixie Tangerines
Churchill-Brenneis Orchard, Ojai, CA
These sweet, seedless late season tangerines are a real treat! They have a thick skin and juicy sweet-tart flesh that makes them excellent for eating out of hand.

Hass Avocado
Eco Farm, Temecula, CA
Creamy in texture, nutty in flavor, with a small to medium seed. The Hass skin is easy to peel and darkens from green to purplish-black as it ripens.
